A weekend training camp turns into a fight for survival for nine National Guardsmen in this action drama by Walter Hill. Deep in the Louisiana bayou, a troop of soldiers (played by Keith Carradine, Peter Coyote, Fred Ward, Powers Boothe and others) make a careless yet cocky error that angers the local Cajuns. Without ammunition, the men must fight the natives on their turf, making the skirmish eerily reminiscent of the Vietnam War.
